While doing a presentation a few months ago at a school, one of the teachers attending the professional development workshop brought in a butterfly container with a small cocoon hanging from within. Nothing signifies more clearly the changing of seasons than the beautiful transformation of colors from the foliage during autumn in the northeast, specifically upstate NY and the rest of the northeastern states. Eight days into December, these colors have long faded into the wind but we’re still technically in the fall season, with only 13 more days till the official start of winter.
