While in Colorado a few years back, we took a day trip to Seven Falls in Colorado Springs. This is Colorado’s only waterfall, having been honored to have appeared on National Geographic’s list of international waterfalls. We climbed 224 steps by the side of the waterfall and took in the grand site of this beautiful region. My daughter and I briefly explored the trails at the top of the falls. Once at the bottom, we sat through an entertaining traditional native American Indian dance performance.
The weather was simply beautiful on this day and it was a great opportunity for me to take some really good pictures. Although this is a heavy tourist attraction, trafficked by many people all year round, if you stop and simply enjoy nature and take in the sights, you’ll find that the region is teeming with wildlife oblivious to human intrusion. If you look closely at the first picture on this post, you’ll notice on the left side of the shot a bighorn sheep deftly walking upon the steep and rocky surface of the canyon. The picture below shows the zoomed in shot.
