Nothing signifies more clearly the changing of seasons than the beautiful transformation of colors from the foliage during autumn in the northeast, specifically upstate NY and the rest of the northeastern states. Eight days into December, these colors have long faded into the wind but we’re still technically in the fall season, with only 13 more days till the official start of winter.

For me, the winter season doesn’t truly begin until I feel that bitter and sharp wind cutting me through my bones and then seeing the first signs of snow flurries. For now, I’m satisfied with the sight of bare trees and the mild weather we’ve been having.
