In 1982 I was in middle school when I first saw Tron. I knew way back then that I was seeing something incredibly special, unique, and technologically magical. How to Train Your Dragon

Last week I went to see How to Train Your Dragon with my daughter on her birthday on an IMAX screen. I had been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since Avatar premiered. I had not seen any previews and the only thing I had to go by was the postersand the fact that it was made by DreamWorks, the studio responsible for the equally excellent Kung Fu Panda. Avatar, the IMAX Experience…

I saw Avatar with my wife, 7 year old daughter, and older brother on Christmas day on an IMAX screen. I had chosen Christmas day because I figured that the crowds at the Palisades Mall in west Nyack, NY would be a lot less than usual (with the stores being closed and all) and the exorbitant fees IMAX charges for buying tickets online were cut in half to $2 per ticket on that day (please don’t get me started on that!), bringing the total for one ticket at $16.
